Training professionals to get the most from AI tools
The challenge
WD-40, a leading U.S. manufacturing company, renowned especially for its multi-use product under the same name, looked for ways to optimize their operations.
In doing so, they wanted to educate administrative professionals to automate repetitive tasks, reduce manual effort, and focus on higher-value activities.
They trusted us to deliver a focused, practical training session that would help their admin team to see the power of AI and the Microsoft Power Platform in action.
- Industry: Manufacturing supplies
- Solution type: Training
- Tech stack: Microsoft Power Platform (specifically Power Automate and Power Automate AI Hub)
What we did
We designed a 4-hour workshop for a small group of five administrative professionals.
Using two real internal processes as the base, we turned theory into practice:
- Contract approval process: from a manual, multi-step workflow to an automated solution.
- Data gathering from Excel files: from tedious manual spreadsheet adjustments on Excel to automated flows using Power Automate and pre-trained AI models.
Key topics of the training session included:
- Prompting for Excel scripts creation
- Introduction to Power Automate and Power Automate AI Hub
- Developing prototypes for real company needs
- Step-by-step guidance for creating and maintaining automations
To ensure impact beyond the session, we delivered:
- Two working automation prototypes
- Four Power Automate flows
- A step-by-step guide for scaling automation
- A proposal for a fully automated contract approval process
What we achieved
The goal was to prepare professionals for optimizing their tasks, which will bring efficiency for the business, and this has many benefits:
- For the company: the capabilities to automate administrative processes, reducing human error, increasing efficiency and ensuring future scalability.
- For professionals: real experience building automations themselves, gaining confidence to integrate AI-powered tools into their daily work.
By combining AI with Microsoft Power Platform, we helped the client move towards smarter, faster, and more resilient operations. When people grow their skills, companies grow their capabilities.
This training project came to us through our partner Houser & Houser, who connected us with the client. The training was fully delivered by our Data & AI Training Specialist.
"zenital provided outstanding support in improving our reporting and approval workflows. Their team effectively combined automation and AI to streamline our processes, reduce manual effort, and boost overall efficiency. Professional, knowledgeable, and proactive; highly recommended"

How to change an entire data strategy
I imagine 8wires as that sincere and honest partner that takes you out of all that noise and helps you focus on what is important, no matter how unsexy it may be, to achieve a great long-term goal.
The one who accompanies you through the hard times and helps you through the tough decisions, knowing that there is no easy road. The one who gives you the push or the tools so that you climb and be yourself the one who reaches the summits you propose in a healthy, sustainable and energetic way. And above all, the one who steps aside when he knows that he is not helping you or that he will not be able to give you what you need.
I don't know if it is helpful, but somehow I saw on the web a visual explanation of the problem in the data/technology world (I don't know if with this metaphor) before showing how it is to work with us and finally, another visual explanation of the result.

Like a bridge over troubled waters
